Your Roadmap for Making Inquiry Work in Every Classroom
The VDOE Has Officially Launched the Rollout
The Virginia Department of Education is now rolling out the 2023 History and Social Science Standards of Learning—and it’s more than a set of updates. This shift calls for a new way of thinking rooted in inquiry, student engagement, and evolving instructional practices.

🗓️ Upcoming Releases Include:
Civics, Government – Week of April 7
US History I & II – April 14
World Geography, WHI, WHII – April 28–May 5
Virginia Studies, VUS – May 12

What’s New in the Guides?
These guides are now interactive, living documents—meaning they’ll keep evolving with new resources and edits.

Understand and Apply the Guides
We break down the new instructional guides and align them to your pacing, curriculum, and local needs using AI to streamline the process.Build Inquiry-Based Lessons with AI
Teachers upload standards, pacing, and student data. Our approach helps AI generate tailored, inquiry-driven lesson plans, research tasks, and discussion prompts.Save Teacher Time
Our system makes it easy to front-load weekly lessons, adapt for subgroups (like EL or SPED), and focus on student thinking—not just coverage.Track Progress Year-Round
With AI threads that grow as the year goes on, we help teachers and coaches track formative data, inquiry mastery, and lesson impact—all in one place.Provide PD That Lasts

Supporting the Shift to Inquiry
The VDOE's upcoming Quill Talks will tackle topics like questioning, research, scaffolding, and source analysis. But many teachers are asking:
“How do I actually implement this in my classroom with the time and resources I have?”
That’s where T.E.A.C.H. steps in. We’ve helped districts:
Prompt generative AI with instructional goals, student data, and inquiry steps
Build and revise lessons aligned to inquiry-based expectations
Provide ongoing professional development tied to real results
We can even help you create school-wide or division-wide GPTs to support every teacher with consistent, standards-based planning.
